Shawn Ashman attended the Edna Manley School of the Visual and Performing Arts in 2005, and since then has used her business acumen to develop art-related goods and services.

Her recent fine art collection: “Ascension a Matter of Perspective,” was featured in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at the Nova Southeastern University’s gallery during Black History Month 2016.  Visit her online gallery for more of her fine art work.

Ashman has developed a passion for “Upcycled Art” where she recycles items to create unique pieces.  She completed a collection called: “Fiwi Connection,” for the annual KOTE art festival.  Her upcycled art include: painted wine bottles, mixed media works with computer parts, jewellery and stones.

She also conducts art sessions dubbed: “Paint with Merlot,” where she teaches short art classes allowing the participants to paint on wine bottles or canvas, while sipping on a glass of wine. This was featured on TVJ—Smile Jamaica in January 2016. She also offers creative workshops, classes and session that motivates other using art and creativity as a platform.

Art is truly her passion and she brands her art as “Creativity Unimagined” and hopes to send positive, inspirational and motivating messages through her work worldwide.
